We have a lot of leadership training and development work lined up for 2008/09 as well as various events and outings.
We have been running alpha courses, business management training, and specific ministry training courses throughout the year.
Every project that we have is a means to doing kingdom work, and the leader of each project is encouraged to see their project as discipleship.
We are focusing on these specific projects over the next season:
- Preaching, discipleship and bible studies for adults and children
- a twice weekly children’s club, consisting of over 100 children
- vegetable gardening projects providing food and revenue in the community
- developing small businesses
- youth groups, church camps and outreaches for people to come and get involved in the community
- prayer and care work, whereby we walk from house to house praying for people and seeing where we can assist in whatever way possible
- tourism and entertainment; we have Zulu dance groups, both adult and children, singers, gumboot dancing, and we offer our groups as entertainment for
- functions in and around the community
- soccer coaching and preparation for 2010 ‘tourism ministry’ for visitors
- building project
- Outings and events
- Provision of food – (We still feed the children on a weekly basis and the numbers vary anywhere from 100 up to 200 kids.)
